Dr. Ian Young has over 30 years of commercial and specialist experience with a strong background across the dental, oral and facial surgery disciplines. Ian provides technical dental and practice management counsel to practices.
Ian founded Maxillofacial Implant Centre (MIC) in Birtinya, the first surgery of its kind on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. MIC provides a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures with areas of expertise including corrective jaw surgery, dental implant procedures and wisdom teeth removal. Over the last ten years, Ian has bought, exited and invested in several dental and surgical practices.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Queensland, Bachelor of Medicine from University of Adelaide, Masters of Oral Surgery at Eastam Dental Hospital and is a Fellow from The College of Surgeons.
Dr. Jonathan Hopkirk is a practicing healthcare professional with expertise across medical governance, assurance and people & culture. Jonathan is responsible for ensuring quality medical procedures and maintaining a work environment that helps staff collaborate at their full potential across practices.
Jonathan is the Global Medical Director for Laser Clinics Australia, NZ and the UK. Jonathan is at the forefront of best practices across a network of 170 clinics as well as a team of doctors, registered nurses and medical experts. He also sits on the Medical Advisory Committee for the company and is the medical lead in the companies Centre of Excellence. Earlier in his career he was the Resident Medical Officer across the Illawarra health hospitals.
Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Anatomy and Structural Biology from University of Otago, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from University of Wollongong, and fellows at both the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine and the American College of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Physicians. He is also a member of a Global Aesthetic Complications Expert panel group.
Soeren Iversen has over 25 years experience as a business leader across dental and medical devices as Chair, CEO and Board Member. Soeren is responsible for the day-to-day effective delivery of operational service and management of practices.
Soeren was CEO of TRI Dental Implants and lead the successful implementation of market analysis, development and execution of three new geographies, across APAC, for the group over a five year period. Prior to TRI Dental, Soeren was CEO of Smartline, a global medical equipment and healthcare solutions distributor, responsible for the strategy and commercial growth of the company. Soeren is Chair of HOR, providing oversight in establishing a chain of fully operational retail outlets providing hearing aid solutions and consultation across Sweden. Soeren's leadership roles began as CEO Australia of Sonova Group, a global hearing aid and implant provider.
Soeren holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Aalborg Business School, Executive Leadership Certification from St. Gallen Management School and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Douglas has extensive experience within financial services across buying and selling businesses, investments, M&A and healthcare. Douglas' primary role is to support practices focusing on growth and strategy in relation to finances and partnerships. Douglas has worked for multinational firms headquartered in the US, UK and Asia Pacific, with years of experience, he has demonstrated a track-record of building and driving business results.
Douglas is a Director at one of the largest and oldest investment management companies globally, which manages more than $3 trillion for professional, wholesale and institutional investors. Prior to this, Douglas was Vice President at HSBC Global Banking & Markets where he managed key multinational healthcare companies across APAC. Earlier in his career he held investment roles at Schroders Investment Management and Macquarie Asset Management.
Douglas holds a Bachelor or Applied Finance and Graduate Certificate of Alternative Investments from Harvard Business School.
